Where the lines come from

The major lines of the palm are the skin creases formed when you close your hand. They exist from before birth — they form during foetal development.

Their appearance can change with age, work or injury. So lines are anatomy, not 'written fate'.

Heart and head lines

The heart line runs across the upper palm, from the little finger towards the index finger. The tradition links it to emotions, relationships and matters of the heart. A long, deep line is read as emotional clarity.

The head line crosses the middle of the palm, linked to thinking, reasoning and decision-making. Curving upwards is read as imagination, curving downwards as practicality.

Life line and fate line

The life line curves around the thumb. Let's correct the most common myth: its length does not predict lifespan. The tradition links it to vitality, awareness of health and lifestyle — not to how long you live.

The fate line rises from the lower palm towards the middle finger, linked to career direction, responsibility and effort. It is not present clearly in every hand, and its absence is not considered a problem.

How we present lines

For every line the scanner records whether it was detected, how long it is (short/medium/long) and how deep (light/deep). Those three facts are what reach the report.

When a line is not detected confidently we draw the dashed standard overlay and label it 'approximate'. That is the honest way — never dressing a guess up as certainty.
