How the type is decided
Palmistry compares the length and width of the palm with the length of the fingers. The ratio sorts hands into four groups: earth, water, fire and air. This classification is especially common in Western palmistry.
Note that it is a ratio, not a fixed measurement — two readers can legitimately place the same hand in different groups.
Earth hand
A broad palm with relatively short fingers. The tradition links it to practicality, patience and reliability — a nature that works with tangible, long-lasting things.
In our report this type appears as 'Earth hand' with a short description beside it.
Water hand
A long palm with long fingers. Traditionally associated with emotional depth, imagination and sensitivity — decisions guided by feeling.
It is often described for people whose relationships and emotions sit at the centre of life.
Fire and air hands
Fire hand: a compact palm with deep lines — traditionally energy, enthusiasm and quick decisions. People who start fast and move fast.
Air hand: a broad palm with long fingers — thoughtful, communicative and experimental.
Treat all four as an elegant traditional system — not as proof of anyone's ability or future.
